I prefer version 4.8.5-7 (fast boot, more desktop smoothness, fast background tasks) -- I like this new thread, it increases development speed. Edit: indeed the linux-image package size is seven Mb smaller!

Is there a plan to include DragonK version of Your kernel in a DL page here so to overcome DL restrictions on Mega?
@Xan: Thank You for all the work You've done and for all te stuff that is ahead of us...

is this a LTO Kernel?
Thats great a generic -flto kernel for older systems, i run also a fujitsu futro and any saved cycle is worth!

If you want to get the maximum power and performance with XanMod on old or very old systems I recommend you to give a try to small distros. Please just notice that the limit to consider testing XanMod is that the CPU and distro should be 64bit -- I have tested XanMod in eleven old machines with no problem at all with Xubuntu. Probably I will test some of the smallest Debian/Ubuntu distros shown at the first link in a near future. You also can tweak your current system to increase performance following some useful tricks at the second link.  Sleepy

Hello, Anna86, there is no experimental build xanmod-4.11 available at this moment.
Please get a warm welcome to the forum! Smile

I was kind of, sort of, hoping there would be one soon. Or even better, a proper release. But I'd settle for an experimental one.
Though I'm really in the mood for 4.12. But that is a few months until, I guess.

Dear forum admin,

I can't activate my account over link either over copy pasting the second solution with entering code - both aren't working.

Please activate my account
Thanks and
